Heather has been in engineering for over 37 years, with experience in a diverse range of project and facilities management responsibilities. Having worked in manufacturing, mass production, defence, healthcare, pharmaceutical research and facilities management sectors, her responsibilities have included engineering installations, design, health and safety, FM compliance, contract and staff recruitment and management, maintenance and repairs as well as managing large and small engineering projects.
Heather has worked for Government, NHS and MoD as well as major Facilities Management companies as Facilities Operations, Maintenance Manager and Laboratory Specialist. Heather is a trainer for Electrical Authorised Person in both high and low Voltage disciplines, including Standby Systems and Hazardous Areas, and one of the few facilities management professionals to have trained at Porton Down for microbiological containment.
Heather has also carried out training nationally and internationally, working as a training consultant for CIBSE in Electrical, High and Low Voltage, Authorised Person and health & safety specialisms.
With a hard-earned NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Heather is a member of the NEBOSH Alumni and has written chapters of text books for NEBOSH for their Diploma Course.
